Adoption of biofloc technology and amended biofloc and recirculating aquaculture system in freshwater giant prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) farming

The freshwater giant prawn (M. rosenbergii) is one of the important commercial fisheries items of Bangladesh and plays a vital role in export earnings. The farming and production of the species recently facing many problems and hence declining production. Thus, the present project will be focused on the suitability of environment-friendly biofloc technology (BFT) and Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) with the optimum stocking density, feed protein level, carbon sources, and immune responses with minimal water exchange.
